整型式乳癌手術
傳統上，乳癌患者需要手術切除全部乳房，但是經過20年的研究，證實了乳癌手術只切除部份的乳房(即乳房保留手術)，與全部乳房切除的存活率相同。目前超過60%的歐美及日本乳癌病患接受乳房保留手術，超過24%的台灣乳癌患者接受乳房保留手術。
由於乳房保留手術後必須受放射治療，治療後經常引起手術部位變形及乳頭移位，降低了乳房的美觀。因此，有整型式乳癌切除手術(Oncoplastic surgery)的提倡。手術的原理是利用殘存的乳腺做有效的轉位，彌補切除部位的空洞，同時必須考量腫瘤分布情況，做完整的切除。經過這樣的手術，乳房不會凹陷變形，癌症部位也因充分的術前定位，得以完整切除。
