YMUH, as a university hospital, has devoted enormous resources to medical researches under strong support and close collaboration with the national Yang-Ming University, National Health Research Institute, and the National Science Council. Our mission is to foster and support excellence in medical researches for clinical applications, which enable to promote human health as well as reduce the disease incidence and morbidity.

To promote the research quality, we organized the Institutional Review Board-YMUH in 2009. While equipping the common medicine laboratory with the help of the experienced research assistant, we keep extending the research instruments, including the PCR laboratory, refrigerator, spectrophotometer, electrophoresis film phantom system. To encourage the young researchers, we enroll the physician scientists to devote to medical researches.
