中秋節連假首日，宜警接獲陽明交通大學附設醫院電話，有心臟、腎臟等多器官移植，需緊急送至台北榮總、台中榮總及林口長庚等醫院，因正值中秋連假首日，闔家團圓出遊節日，宜警在連假交通雍塞時段，為使捐贈者遺愛能讓更多病患得到更好的醫療照顧，宜警開導車輛護送捐贈器官，與國道警察以接力方式，跟時間拔河搶救生命，讓捐贈器官能即時並順利抵達各醫院執行器官移植手術。
